But no my story is not about my socializing capabilities, it’s about weird SMS that we generally receive. Today she happen to mention a text that she receieved from a friend of her’s who have received it from another friend and now it’s so mixed up that no one knows who or what is the original source. The text included –

A cancer patient needs your help. Just forward this SMS to 10 contacts of yours and from each SMS 10 cents will be sent to the cancer patients bank account (original text might be different from this but this is the general idea)

So the text was forwarded. Understandable we being human and all, we are quite empathetic when a fellow-being is in need, and prone to do easy custom made donations like this. But what everyone who forwarded the SMS forgot was, how would someone MONITOR all these SMSs and actually send the multiple of 10 cents to the cancer patient’s account?

I too have got the same kind of emails several times. Some times about a human who is need, some kind of cause so on and so forth. All these awareness is wonderful, but I do not know how anyone could count all the emails forwarded and would actually benefit the said patient/cause. In any case I am not accusing people asking for donations with proper bank accounts and I know who I am making the donation to (you have to be smart to identify phonies, sorry not everyone is telling the truth) . But my thing is against these kind of baseless forwardings that crowd my email and text inbox.

How many of you have received emails(SMS) saying that you need to forward this email to a number of people or the (nagging) love of your life will leave you? Or you will lose all your teeth or your true love will come running to you and sing you Ronan Keating’s when you say nothing at all?

And how many of you have actually done that and actually got any results?

Anyways since you read all above and if you leave my blog without making a comment on this post you will be hexed, jinxed and your blog will go blank.

Yesterday I just tried answering the questions that were in back of the book. The first question itself teased my intelligence.

How did Marx see the society?

All the text I have been reading all this while came pouring out, my brain was parroting faster than Lionel Messi (simply the best football player at present) going through the opponent team players making you believe, whoa that guy’s foot and the ball are glued to each other. But nada I was not able to answer. I stayed up till 11.30pm thinking what is the answer, come on Ranz you can do it, think think think your brains out but still the answer was a negative.

Said a Facebook fortune cookie. (I love that application)

First I was like “hmm I am not in love at the moment”

Then I was like “oh wait I am in happy and I feel good. I am in love”

I bemused “I have things as I want and life ain’t that hard”

Then I smiled “Ah I am such a pocketful of sunshine, I think I am in love with the world”

You can’t explain it I guess. It comes to you if you are willing to accept it, in any form. And it’s an adventure.

“Krabi Krabi Krabi, emerald green green so green. I was mesmerized I was.”

I sure was. The water looked so beautiful and like emeralds they shine bright and nice.

I even tried snorkelling in Krabi. My first time. I wore the mask jumped in to the water. Breathed in from my nose and figured it’s all covered and yes the water went in from the mouth. Swam for my dear life. Got back into the boat. Breathed the (water-less) air and fixed the snorkelling gear and jumped again. Relaxed myself. Put my head in to the water and started swimming about. The fish, wonderfully colourful fish swam with me.

I love this emerald green sea. I love it.

So good connectivity and quality of internet is a must have, but exactly what I don’t have.

40% of my time (not statistically proven, but some where there), I spend on waiting for a website to download, gmail to attach a document, an email to open, a document to get downloaded. So after all that drama I have done only 60% of my job, so I have to take the work home and finish it.

OBVIOUSLY I stay up all night and finish my task.

Who should I blame for this?

But how many loose their way, go straight in to it, entangle and pay with life.

Still for some of us, it’s a beautiful wonder of nature.

How often do you smile enough? No matter what others say about you just smile. It’s contagious and pass on to others. It’s worse than any kind of flu and it’s a feel good drug.

In a related unrelated note: I smile a lot. A lot that people use to think I was in to drugs :) Once my Junior high section head asked me if I was up to something. All I was “Tehehe” a lot

This is an very old tree. Once it bore fruits, flowers and life. And then it died. Like we always do, the owner of the tree just cut it down.

The tree trunk with it’s beauty gone just stood there. Rain and shine it just stood there. One day a tiny little movement, a tiny little green leaf popped his head out. Looked about saw the wonderful world out there. Breath in the fresh air. Sang a little song in it’s tiny tiny voice. This was heard by his brothers and sisters. Soon all of them popped their heads out. Figured “wow this world is so beautiful, let us all live here”. The mother tree trunk was happy. She kept on giving them nourishment. They all looked beautiful. harmony was in the air.

I happen to walk by this old trunk one day. I heard them sing. Softly dancing in the wind. I am telling you, they all looked beautiful. They were singing about, hope of peace and harmony.

Then I clicked a picture. Uploaded it in flickr. Now writing this blog post.

Then I thought to myself. We are like them. Like those tiny leaves. We are fed by the mother earth. Only difference is we don’t know how to sing. How to sing the “Peace Song”

I guess I am a dreamer and a un-realistic fool.
